The City of Fredericton’s Department of Finance & Administration is looking for a Finance Clerk for their Revenue/Receivables – Service Centre section.

Finance Clerk (Revenue/Receivables – Service Centre)
You will join a strong, professional, cohesive Finance team who work for the betterment of the team and our City, possess a strong work ethic, are fiscally responsible & cost conscious, maintain a positive outlook and are champions of continuous improvement.
This position is responsible for providing a high level of service to all internal and external customers of Revenue/Receivables – Service Centre by ensuring the smooth operation of the Service Centre, processing Accounts Receivable
billings and collections, the successful completion of other revenue/receivables financial duties, and maintaining records management systems. In addition, this position is also involved in various I & I initiatives to improve services and streamline processes.
We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education (diploma, certificate, or degree) that includes introductory accounting courses. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to adapt to a changing environment; establish and maintain effective working relationships; work as a team player in an environment dealing with information of a confidential nature; and have proficient working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Working knowledge / experience with Cogsdale, BANNER, and/or other financial systems is desirable. Prior experience in Accounts Receivable and Customer Service would be an asset.
This position will report to the Supervisor of Revenue & Receivables. The work can be challenging and demanding, especially considering the public nature of working for a municipal government. To be successful, you must be well organized to meet competing deadlines, take initiative, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
