ABOUT US

Planet in Focus is Canada’s largest environmental film festival. This year’s festival dates are October 19-25 in Toronto. We are looking for film and environmental enthusiasts to assist in the production of our 16th annual international film festival. Ideally, we need 2-5 people who can commit consistent time to coming in to our office, joining our team of core staff to plan and implement the festival. 3-5 days per week would be best, but if you can do less and are interested please do get in touch.

We can offer a small honourarium, a great working environment, hands-on experience you can put on your resume, and the satisfaction of working toward environmental change.

The festival will feature 50+ films, panels, workshops, Industry Day, Family programming, a pancake breakfast, Awards and receptions, and special guest Eco Heroes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Festival Assistant Coordinator job tasks include:

liaising with partners, venue staff and filmmakers
organizing and coordinating various aspects of the festival logistics
assisting with hospitality
tracking box office
outreach to promote the festival
poster/flyer distribution and tabling at events
design skills would be a great added bonus!
