Directional Driller – Calgary – Lonestar Directional Inc

Role and Responsibilities
Under broad direction, provides on-site supervision of the Directional Drilling (DD) process including projection of well path to pre- determined target coordinates. Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer in a professional manner. Advises Client on Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) selection and all aspects of Directional Drilling performance. Will also be responsible for MWD/LWD processes including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and Quality Control (QC) and delivery of the service to the customer. Applicant will also be responsible for all servicing of MWD tools on location along with any troubleshooting and failure diagnostics.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 4 years of:
MWD field experience.
Directional Drilling experience.
Service and field knowledge of APS and Tensor style MWD tools along with various logging programs and surface equipment.
Minimum of 2 years of shop and or correlating electrical background is a plus.
High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Preferred Skills
We are looking for a skilled individual who can work well in a fast paced environment without much oversite. The person should be able to operate MWD and do Directional Drilling (DD) on a solo basis while also maintaining a constant line of communication with the client and onsite personal. We will not be accepting any applications that do not meet and or exceed at least the minimum requirements.
