Coordinator, EcoCooks Club – Unbounded Canada Foundation – Nova Scotia

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage the planning and implementation of the EcoCooks Club programs in the Lower Mainland. If you are passionate about the environment, energized by plant-based culinary creations, and a motivated self-starter who solves problems with care and creativity, this role might be for you.
The Coordinator, EcoCooks Club will primarily work from home, reports to the Executive Director of the Unbounded Canada Foundation in Kelowna and works collaboratively with our partners, Elements Society. Access to a vehicle and a valid driving permit, as well as a criminal record check is required.

The Coordinator, EcoCooks Club is:
Passionate about the environment and plant-based solutions, is a self-starter who solves problems with care and creativity
Understanding of:
Sustainability issues
Youth education programs
Plant-based eating and cooking
Non-profit work environments
Experienced at managing projects with multiple moving parts and logistics
Organized with time management skills, including attention to detail and long-term planning
A strong verbal and written communicator, demonstrating personal leadership and integrity to represent EcoCooks in a professional manner
Able to adapt quickly to changes in work with minimal supervision
Collaborative, working effectively to share and contribute when working with a team
Experienced with MS Office, Google Suite
Able to operate and access a vehicle for purchasing and moving equipment, materials preparation, and program implementation (physical lifting and moving required)
Keen to create an energetic and positive learning environment for program participants and parents

Key Responsibilities include:
Implementing and managing all EcoCooks Club Lower Mainland programs, including:
Securing program venues and storage
Coordinating field trips
Purchasing and organizing necessary supplies, equipment, and activity materials
Managing program staff
Collaborating with Elements Society, marketing, and other teams as necessary
Managing schedules and program budget
Conducting and reporting on program evaluations, and reporting requirements
Facilitating communication between program staff, the organization, and relevant internal and external stakeholders
Tracking progress against project milestones
Building positive rapport with participants, parents, volunteers, and community members
Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers
Promoting the program to parents, schools, and partner groups to recruit participants and supporters
Working with the team to apply for funding and resources
Working collaboratively to continually improve and update the program
Communicating regularly with the Executive Director and other responsibilities as required
