Responsibilities:
Write bilingual media content in collaboration with the communication team, including press releases, social media posts and newsletter,
Organize and participate in bilingual consultations with Indigenous communities related to the project,
Organize and participate in consultations with stakeholders, including the public, municipalities, the MRC Pontiac, recreation and tourism groups and other potential stakeholders as required,
Organize and facilitate working groups to ensure ongoing outreach of project allies,
Identify new community outreach possibilities and opportunities,
Review, update and enact the communication plan for the project.
Requirements:
BILINGUALISM REQUIRED (French and English, written and oral)
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
Valid driver’s license considered an asset
Experience in project management or public consultation considered an asset
Job Conditions:
This is a full-time, one-year paid internship, starting in early August 2022 with possibly for extension / permanent position at the end of the on-year internship. Compensation provided is $22,00 CAD per hour, with health and other benefits provided after 6 month of employment. Work hours are flexible and will primarily take place remotely with occasional in-person attendance as needed. The CPAWS Ottawa Valley office is located in Gatineau Quebec.
