Summary of Role
As part of a small team, the Community Investment Coordinator will play a key role managing community bonds, selling community bonds, member communications, and reporting to the Board. If you are entrepreneurial and energetic, and committed to social & environmental innovation this is a great opportunity. Successful candidates will be independent, articulate and quick on their feet, and have proven success in both a financial management and communications role.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain positive member relationships; respond to member questions and requests in a timely and thoughtful manner
Ensure all member deliverables are met, including timely processing of transactions, transfers and redemptions, disbursements, and tax filings
Track investments, issue interest/principal disbursements, tax filings, coordinate fund transfers, report on interest accruals
Work to continuously improve current practices and identify and correct inefficiencies
Review and monitor our systems for data security, privacy protection and regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, self-motivated and independent worker
Intermediate financial investment knowledge
Experience with CRM software and Google Workspace
Exposure to member-based organization or co-operative
Familiarity with Biogas and/or renewable energy
Strong interest in environmental issues
