COMMUNICATIONS, MARKETING AND EVENTS OFFICER – EcoNova Education – Ontario

Main Responsibilities:
Organization and management of events: agenda, logistics, communication plan, commitment plan, search for speakers, search for sponsors, partners…
Social strategy and mastery of social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Business…). Development of a faithful, committed and active community. Research of influencers and development of a collaborative relationship.
Management of the communication/marketing strategy of the organization. Management of internal and external communication (social networks, press, blog, customer interviews, etc.).
Management of advertising campaigns.
Creation of visual and graphic resources.
Creation of newsletters.
Animation, management and monitoring of community and partners.
Writing blog articles, press releases, newsletters.
Web copywriting optimized for natural referencing.
Management of the site on WordPress, SEO, traffic manager… Management of any change relating to the website.
Drafting of documents in order to obtain public or private funding.

4. Skills:
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in French and English .
Knowledge and proficiency in WordPress.
Creativity, demonstrated imagination and skill in graphic design.
Knowledge and perfect command of Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, …), Microsoft Office, Zoom, Slack, Canva and other online applications.
Ability to independently navigate tablet and wearable applications
Proven ability to mobilize, motivate and inspire a community, making it grow every day.
Organization, rigor and versatility.
High level of professionalism at all times.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with autonomy and flexibility.
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Work closely with other team members.
Ability to undertake research to enrich own knowledge and educational materials on scientific, economic, social and political topics related to the environment.
Be up to date on environmental news and on changes in technology related to social media algorithms.
Ability to write informative and administrative documents in both French and English in a concise and consistent manner.

5. Qualifications :
Degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, events or equivalent (graduate or undergraduate degree accepted).
Bilingual French and English – mandatory (please refrain otherwise).
Recent experience of at least 3 years – required
Present a portfolio that shows your interest in these areas (academic, personal and professional work).
Be eligible to work legally in Canada – Mandatory
