Core duties:
As an excellent communicator with superb organizational skills, you love working directly with clients, co-workers, and other stakeholders on the topics of energy and environment. This role is mainly responsible for interacting with property owners who are interested in undertaking energy upgrades in a highly courteous and helpful manner that exceeds their expectations. The Coordinator will also correspond with the industry professionals and contractors who are delivering services to those participants.
Our highest priority is to keep things simple for property owners. This role is very people focused.
Customer Support – 40%
Correspond with and support property owners through the entire energy upgrade process:
Review and respond to incoming program inquiries
Assist property owners with scheduling home energy assessments, contractor interactions, applying for rebates and incentives
Provide guidance and information to customers related to energy efficiency upgrade pathways
Gather and respond to feedback from program participants & stakeholders
Project Administration and Support – 40%
Support all aspects of the Retrofit Assist program implementation:
Project administration and follow-up, involving data gathering, entry & processing, document control
Execute detail-oriented tasks such as reporting and tracking of project timelines and budget, to ensure consistency and progress against work plan deliverables
Refinement of workflow processes, FAQ documents, customer templates, etc.
Conduct web-based and basic research to support senior staff on project refinement
There may be an opportunity to support other strategic initiatives related to home energy retrofits for the right candidate
Communications Support – 20%
Support program promotion, marketing, and communications, including working with CEA’s communications team to develop progress reports, presentations, and social media posts
Organizing and supporting community and stakeholder (i.e., local government, trades and contractors) engagement activities related to building science, climate change, and energy upgrades
Desired Skillset:

Demonstrated customer service approach and relationship building skills with program stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage a diverse range of responsibilities
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Energized by challenges and driven to improve workflow processes
Thorough working knowledge of MS Office tools
Degree or equivalent experience related to building science, energy efficiency, local governments, climate action, or renewable energy
Energy efficiency and renewable energy background preferred, particularly in the residential sector, with familiarity of BC’s energy incentive programs (strategic priority)
Energy related certifications or designations, such as Energy Advisor or CEM are considered assets (strategic priority)
Experience working with low-and-medium income households, Indigenous Communities, or other traditionally marginalized groups is considered an asset (strategic priority)
