Responsibilities and role
This is an administration position where you will be responsible for:
Communicating by phone, email, and direct message with individuals and group organizers to answer their questions, help them choose appropriate services, receive their feedback, and take their bookings
Utilizing a variety of software to set up services in order for people to book online
Ensuring that automations, systems, and notifications are set up to provide our students and guests with great information and a smooth booking process before, during, and after their experience with us
Following up after programs by sending follow ups, certifications, and creating database entries
Digital maintenance, updates, and edits to our websites, online learning platforms, database, and project management software
Streamlining administrative processes and creating documentation for training others on office tasks
Working on other office-based projects and tasks including: taking part in team meetings, communications, managing inboxes, booking travel, data entry, basic bookkeeping, shipping and receiving, inventorying products for sale such as books and merchandise, and scheduling meetings and appointments

Hours and pay
Work independently from your own home or office
37.5 hours per week, on average
$46,000 to $50,000 per annum to start, depending on your skills and experience
Full benefits package which increases over time, beginning at 2 weeks vacation, 6 sick days, and a comprehensive medical / dental package
Your schedule is flexible, but it’s important that you’re able to respond to clients in a timely manner during regular business hours
Qualifications
Education & Training – minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
Requirements
An office space where you can work with minimal distractions
High speed internet
A cell phone with unlimited Canada-wide talk and text
A laptop or desktop computer and an external monitor
Abilities and qualities
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on your own outside of an office environment, self-starter, motivated, and independent
Exceptional organization, interpersonal, time-management, and communication skills
Passion for helping to create and deliver quality programs and products
Strong attention to detail with administrative and operational responsibilities
Strategic and analytical thinking
Friendly and customer service oriented
Proficiency in working with digital platforms and a strong aptitude for technology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign, G-suite, Dropbox, WordPress, and the ability to learn new apps and software
Ability to create visually appealing and professional looking documents
Assets
The following are not required but we will view them as assets during the hiring process:
Live in Ottawa-Gatineau
Bilingual (French and English)
Experience in and of the following fields: technical rescue, medicine, education, outdoor adventure, hospitality
