About the position:
Bike Share Field Technicians (aka ‘Balancers’) re-distribute bikes between hubs and perform maintenance on bikes and hubs. Team members would be trained to drive an electric-assist cargo trike (e-trike) to perform the duties below. All shifts would start and end on the UBC Campus making this an ideal position to fit around your class schedule.
Each team member can expect to work on a variety of tasks related to overall system health.
This is a part-time, permanent position (12-28 hours per week). $21.25/hr (we’d also consider summer-only applicants)

An ability to load, lift, and move bicycles and equipment (~35 pounds)
Comfort and ease with tablets (iPad) and mobile & web-based apps
A willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather
A flexible schedule (or has a variety of days to choose from to do the work)
Self-starter, able to work alone with minimal supervision
An organized and detail-oriented mindset
