The role
is responsible for necessary preparation of vehicles for paint applications. The Auto Body Painter is to mix and apply undercoats and clear coats as well as refinish plastic substrates. Painter is accountable for adjusting the flow and viscosity of paint and control of air pressure to the spray gun by adjusting the nozzle.

Other duties include :
Perform detailed and intricate work to match new paint to old colors and apply it with spray guns
Properly dispose hazardous waste
Following color charts and remove rust.
Paint technicians must disassemble, clean and reassemble their painting equipment.

Qualifications:
3 years auto painting experience in a recognized body shop
Journeyman certificate for auto body painting
