The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing comprehensive, core financial and administrative support. This includes preparing and processing financial documents, tracking, entering data, and reconciling errors. The incumbent in this position is also responsible for providing financial administrative support.
Our Assistant Manager will:
Creating financial documents/requisitions; performing accurate and timely data entry of financial documents (cash deposits, journal vouchers, invoices, travel claims, professional development funding and purchasing requisitions)
Assist in the preparation of routine financial report packages and other related information
Manage information requests by the Director of Finance
Preparation of presentations for Board/Committee/Internal meetings
Eviewing all financial paperwork to ensure appropriate back-up documentation is provided and following up with the Researcher as required
Maintaining files of all financial transaction documents and supporting materials
Acting as the primary contact to resolve vendor disputes by researching, following up and making corrections as appropriate
Schedule meetings for the Director of Finance & coordinate schedules of participants attending meetings
Responsible for ordering office supplies as needed
Other tasks as may be requested from time to time
Key Requirements:
High school graduation plus a College diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
2 years of relevant experience required
Proficiency in basic Accounting skills and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Superior knowledge of the written and oral English language, superior knowledge of grammar and spelling
Effective problem resolution and analytical skills, as well as oral and written communication, and inter-personal skills, with ability to maintain attention to detail
Detail oriented with strong ability to organize, simplify, streamline
Ability to work independently, with a team, and collaborate with others
