The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a result oriented individual; with an entrepreneurial spirit striving for excellence in customer service. As a Retail and Processing Assistant Manager, you will be responsible in the day-to-day operation of all aspects of the store including financial performance, sales, donation collections, material processing, personnel management, health and safety initiatives, and loss control activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Retail and Processing Store Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Professionally interact with customers as required by managing concerns, complaints and compliments, when necessary. Maximize sales performance through proper rotation, display, signage and inventory of processed merchandise.
Maintain sales floor appearance, cleanliness and shopping environment, including, but not limited to, machines, restrooms and odor control.
Supervise staff, provide encouragement and, when necessary, develop performance management plans for review with the Store Manager.
Participate and lead staff meetings and training as required.
Candidates Requirements:
As a Retail and Processing Assistant Manager, you are able to engage people, lead the team by example, and encourage team work by creating a fun and energized environment. Your past work experience must include at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a retail environment.
In order to be successful in this role, you should demonstrate following skills and qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to influence, empower, and motivate staff, and hold team members accountable for the completion of responsibilities as well as attainment of performance goals.
Sound decision making and problem solving skills with good business sense.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary diploma or degree in retail management or business is an asset.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older and pass a criminal record check.
