Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking certified Aquatic Instructors II who will be responsible for lesson management for Canadian Red Cross Water Safety programs. This includes planning and preparing assigned programs; instructing assigned classes; evaluating participants; record keeping and public relations. The successful candidates will also ensure participants are taught according to safety and skill standards outlined by Saanich and Aquatic agencies. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Award; over three months, up to and including six months experience and a satisfactory police information check. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.
