In the Development Services Department, this front-line position is responsible for: processing a variety of permits, licences and other applications; preparing a variety of correspondence including legal documents; and handling public inquiries. A detailed job description is available at www.sidney.ca. Previous municipal experience, especially in a Planning or Building Department, is preferred. This is a  temporary, full-time Union position from January to December 2016 with the possibility of continuation; $26.60/hr, plus 13% in lieu of  benefits.
