The Chartered Professional Accountants of New Brunswick (CPA New Brunswick), the organization which oversees the accreditation, education, professional development and member services for New Brunswick’s professional accountants, is hiring an Administrative Assistant for their office in Moncton, NB.

As background, CPA New Brunswick is a self-regulating professional association with over 2,300 active members, governed by a Board of Directors.

As a member of the CPA New Brunswick team, the Administrative Assistant reports to the President and CEO and is primarily responsible for providing support to all CPA New Brunswick members in both official languages (English/French). In particular, the assistant has a key role as the initial contact for members and key stakeholders of the organization.

For this role you need to have excellent communication skills.  You are also required to provide support to members, stakeholders and other office staff in a professional, timely and efficient manner to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.

Major Responsibilities

As the Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for all member inquiries which include walk-ins, telephone, e-mail or regular mail.

The assistant will perform administrative duties assigned by the President & CEO and provide support in the day to day operations of the organization. The Administrative Assistant will also assist with any social events, convocations and professional development days as required.

You will build close working relationships with all employees of CPA New Brunswick.  You will, as primary point of contact, foster strong relationships with members.

Key Competencies Required for Selection

Post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent in related field
Possesses at least three to five years of experience in a similar role
Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken required
Exceptional written/oral communication and presentation skills; strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent customer service orientation, interpersonal and relationship building skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
A team player, able to work independently and collaboratively in a small office environment
