The City of Campbell River is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time Airport Specialist position. Reporting to the Airport Manager (or designate), the Airport Specialist performs a variety of tasks assigned in the day to day operation and maintenance of the City’s Airport.
The successful candidate will have:
Five (5) years experience operating similar airport heavy equipment;
Six (6) months working airside airport experience within the last 10 years;
Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement;
First Aid training (level 1 at a minimum);
Transportation of Dangerous Good Certification;
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certification
The ability to obtain and maintain a restricted firearms license for airside wildlife control.
The ideal candidate will also have Transport Canada Safety Management System (SMS) training.
The current hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $29.01.
