The City of Quesnel is seeking a progressive and innovative leader to manage the Quesnel Regional Airport and the City’s Transit Service. The Airport & Transit Supervisor reports to the Director of Community Services and is stationed at the City of Quesnel Regional Airport. Quesnel is a bustling small city with an area population of 23,000 people. Quesnel’s regional airport, rail connectivity, and location directly on British Columbia’s main north-south corridor, make larger markets accessible within a one day drive or one hour flight. With business-friendly government at the local, provincial and federal level, Quesnel is an ideal location to work, live and play.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written and ability to work with competing priorities and strict deadlines. This position is responsible for supervising the day to day operations of all airport facilities, supervising the activities of all Airport staff, and for public transit provision for the City of Quesnel.

Education and Experience:
A minimum of a two year diploma in Business, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or other related area of study; a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role; previous experience in an aviation related field will be considered an asset; knowledgeable of industry regulations, standards and best practices; valid BC Class 5 Drivers License and possess Airside Vehicle Operator Permit, Restricted Radio License, Airport Security Clearance (or obtain within 30 days of hiring).
