Reporting to the Director, Student Development the Regional Student Services Coordinator (RSSC) is a member of the campus leadership team and the liaison between students and various services that support student success.Specifically, the RSSC provides supervision and leadership to a team of student services support staff, including Counsellors and Aboriginal, Recruitment and Accommodations Advisors, to ensure that student needs are addressed in a timely and consistent manner. The RSSC also serves as the liaison with the Student Representative Council, and implements provincial standardized guidelines for student engagement activities including first day of fall term and graduation.
Candidates must possess a two (2) year Business diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible and related work experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role; OR a university degree and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible and related work experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role. In addition, candidates will have demonstrated work experience in client service, specifically with issue resolution experience. Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, including MS Office Suite, is required. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
Experience working in a related role in a post-secondary environment may be considered an asset, and/or experience supporting aboriginal learners or learners requiring accommodation.
NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $57,252 to $69,212 annually. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NBUPPE Consultation and Development (Educational – non instructional) collective agreement for the College.
