As the Merchandise Purchasing Manager, you will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities of our finished products.

Essential Job Functions

Work with the V.P. of Merchandising to accomplish the following:
Develop purchasing policies and procedures
Control purchasing department budget
Identify potential new vendors of materials
Evaluate cost and quality control of products
Potentially participate in the development of specifications for products working with the product development team
Review and process claims against suppliers
Ability to work multiple projects within a fast paced stage-gate environment
Actively implement continuous improvement
Communicate and direct manufacturing partner team efforts

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Creating vendor purchase orders
Problem solve manufacturing issues
Monthly and annual forecasting for material on hands
Work in tandem with Product Management Team to help clarify objectives with vendors
Knowledge of hard goods and soft goods construction and materials

Requirements

Requires SAP knowledge
Requires VBA excel certificate
Strong understanding of materials
Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
Tech-packing ability with visual diagraming skills to communicate with vendors
Must be detail orientated with the ability to meet deadlines
Proven ability to effectively manage time and work on multiple projects
Experience with software programs (Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe suite)

Wage and Benefits

Hourly wage minimum – $45.95
