The Position:
This role will contribute to the development of a comprehensive marketing plan which includes website development and expansion. The incumbent will assist with annual charity fundraising events, production and marketing of the Annual Report, implementation and marketing of the Youth in Philanthropy Program, development of a volunteer orientation package and the creation of a community and donor outreach presentation package.
The Person:
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will have completed a post secondary degree or diploma program in business administration, marketing, journalism, media arts or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will bring to the position creativity and a passion for marketing and promotion. Knowledge specific to philanthropy and not-for-profit organizations is a definite asset. Developed organizational and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will have experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and be proficient in using the Internet. A working knowledge of Access and Publisher would be advantageous.
Qualifications:
University and college graduates who have graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university.
This position must provide the intern with first time employment in their field of study.
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
