Marketing / Events Coordinator – Fredericton Community Foundation

Position: Marketing and Events Coordinator
Permanent Part-Time
Pay: $20/hr, 20 hours per week
Start Date: On or after August 24, 2015

Requirements:

MUST have significant experience coordinating/managing events
MUST have experience marketing/promoting organizations and/or events
MUST be a creative thinker
MUST be able to work well with a wide variety of people (volunteers, business owners, donors, employees of other charities, etc.)
A flare for visual creativity is a definite asset
Experience in a non-profit or charitable organization is considered an asset
Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset

Tasks and responsibilities:

The Marketing and Events Coordinator is the primary staff lead for ALL events held by the Fredericton Community Foundation, including, but not limited to: Philanthropy in Action Award Dinner (major fundraising dinner), Random Act of Kindness Day, Fund Holders Meeting, Impact Grant Reception (and other grant receptions), etc.

In addition, this position is responsible for the day to day marketing and promotion of the Fredericton Community Foundation, as well as administrative duties related to marketing and events

Duties of the position include:

Scheduling and attending various committee meetings
Planning and implementing events as staff lead, directed by event chair and Executive Director
Booking venues, sound crews, award designer, contract negotiation, etc.
Booking and liaising with speakers
Ticket and product sales
Purchasing supplies
Liaising with donors
Obtaining sponsorship
Development and implementation of an events and marketing calendar
Lead for Foundation’s social media
Website updates (training provided)
Writing of impact stories for inclusion on website, annual report, newsletters
Producing marketing and events materials (programs, posters, website, media)
Assist in producing e-newsletters
Data entry into contact database
Other duties as assigned.
