Summary:

The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the senior group manager in executing and tracking all marketing programs and for providing sales with relevant materials that will help them win with sales associates and at their accounts.

In its role the Marketing Associate will be responsible for managing the day to day execution of marketing programs, presenting programs to sales and evaluate performance of marketing programs against brand objectives, plans and programs. This position works with cross functional groups across Canada.

Major Responsibilities of the Role:

Business Intelligence and Financial Analysis

Track competitive activities and identify best marketing practices
Analyzes current promotions’ performance and ROI; Recommends conclusions and action steps for the brand and business to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of programs

Marketing & Sales Execution:

Works collaboratively with marketing communications and external agencies to create / execute marketing programming, including writing creative briefs that outline project scope and needs, and linking across cross-functional groups
Supports marketing manager in developing effective consumer promotions and other below the line activities
Key asset in digital space. Working to maintain website with Sitecore-based CMS and other digital based endeavours.
Manages the day to day delivery of marketing activities and projects identified by the brand / senior brand managers

Administrative support:

Manages image library, provide support to new product development process by tracking and providing all materials required to launch products
Manage spiff / promotional web site
Responsible for putting together hot list / go to market and communicating in an efficient format for sales to use
Creates materials to communicate activities to sales

Presentations and Reporting

Present programs to sales team; punctually present programs to key customers in partnership with sales
Help marketing manager develop presentations for senior management presentations
Gathering and presenting digital performance of assets such as website (using GoogleAnalytics) and summarizing e-blast performance with suggestions for improvements
Support brand team in creating content for business planning, business reviews, key customer presentations

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education. Business or Marketing Degree preferred
3-5 years’ experience in marketing communications, consumer insight, channel management and digital media
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing
Excellent verbal and written communication and liaison with internal and external business partners
Superior Excel, Project and Power Point skills
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator)
Self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines and competing demands
Preferred: Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience
French language an asset
