The City of Campbell River is seeking a uniquely qualified, energetic and motivated professional who will lead all marketing and communication activities for the Recreation & Culture Department, with a goal of enhancing the provision of services to the community. This values driven individual will also provide leadership to a team of high performing administrative professionals.
Under the direction of the Recreation & Culture Manager, the Recreation & Culture Marketing and Administration Supervisor will work in close collaboration with the Recreation & Culture Supervisor, as well as the Communications Advisor, other departments, and community partners. Principle responsibilities will include implementing marketing plans and projects, coordinating all aspects of the City recreation management software, and managing all administrative functions.
The ideal candidate will bring with them:
Marketing or communications experience, preferably in a municipal environment and/or a recreation setting;
Direct supervisory experience as a supervisor or team leader;
Post-secondary education specializing in public or business administration, public relations, marketing, communications, or similarly relevant programs;
Professional training in graphic design, photography, videography, writing and/or online fluency.
The City of Campbell River offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as an attractive benefit and vacation package. This position is 25-35 hours/week, project dependent.
