Marketing Analyst

Casino Nova Scotia’s Marketing team works in a very fast paced environment fulfilling their mission to develop, support and implement strategic and tactical marketing plans to meet corporate objectives.  Database analytics is an essential part of this undertaking.  You will be responsible for analyzing market data from a consumer perspective and making recommendations for efficient customer relationship strategies including retention and revenue growth.  You will get the opportunity to collaborate and develop strong working relationships with guests, co-workers, and our many partners in business.

Other challenges in this strategic role will include:

Gathering and interpreting consumer information from a variety of internal and external sources; recommending additional research activities to augment existing data.
Tracking and reporting the results of each marketing campaign in terms of effectiveness and event participation (e.g. revenue generation, redemption percentage).
Establishing annual goals, tactics and budgets to support overall marketing goals; tracking and reporting annual database goals.
Using highly developed problem solving and analytical skills to gather and interpret market data to identify business and consumer trends and provide quantitative analysis.
Liaise with several departments to ensure reporting capabilities for Marketing promotions.
Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Marketing Analyst role with demonstrable knowledge of the concepts of direct marketing.
Post-secondary education in marketing or business administration.
Computer literacy in MS Office; Strong MS Excel skills, Access experience an asset; knowledge of multiple business support systems (e.g. CMS, Cognos and SQL) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious.

Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day.
