Manager, Campus Store – Mount Allison University – Sackville, New Brunswick

We invite applications for the position of manager, campus store in the Administrative Services Office. This is a full-time, continuing appointment.

Reporting to the director, administrative services, the manager, campus store is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and leading a team of customer service professionals responsible for textbook and course material services, clothing and giftware sales, fine art and stationery sales, ID cards, Mountie Money purchases, mail/shipping/receiving services, central high speed printing/photocopying/finishing services, and convenience print/copy fleet services. Responsibilities also include the preparation and analysis of various financial reports; approval of daily cash reconciliations and dispersals; budget planning and control; inventory management; preparation of a purchasing plan according to current trends, including compliance to the University brand for clothing/giftware; marketing and promotion of all services; and maintaining the highest standards of customer service. The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree or equivalent education, with several years of related experience. Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, leadership, and customer service skills as well as strong computer skills are also required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in retail, financial management, team building, and communicating with stakeholders. Exposure to a university environment is an asset.
