DataWind Inc. is a global leader in the development of wireless web access products and services. We offer a series of wireless web access devices and related web delivery platforms, including tablets, Smartphone’s as well as other industry-leading web-browsing devices.

We are currently seeking 2 Junior Buyers to join our Montreal team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new suppliers based on our routing purchasing products and new projects;
Negotiate with suppliers for continuous cost down target;
Coordinate with suppliers for new samples and bidding for new projects;
Follow up with existing suppliers for price negotiation, new order issuing, production and delivery following up;
Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery on time and coordinate with QC in China to ensure units shipped with approved quality;
Any other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in commerce, logistics, or electronics;
Minimum 2 years of working experience in purchasing,  or import & export business; purchasing experience in electronics industry an important asset;
Detail oriented and has high sense of responsibilities;
Excellent negotiation skills and well organized;
Goal oriented and able to deal well with tight deadlines;
Fluent in both English and Chinese (preferably Mandarin) reading and writing;
Willing to work in evening to communicate with suppliers in China, due to time difference.
