Kerry Grain Holdings (Canada) Inc. is a leading e-commercial platform providing business-to-business sales services for international agricultural trade in the world. Headquartered in Vancouver, BC, we specialize in the export of farming products, such as grains, seeds, oil, honey, etc. On the basis of the good knowledge of Asian market, Kerry Grain has already set up large distribution channels in China, South Korea and Japan in supplying high quality farming products. As a growing company, we are looking for full-time, permanent Merchandising Manager with experience and entrepreneurship to join in our team. Successful candidates will work in our office at Downtown Vancouver, BC.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Research and monitor the fluctuation of international agricultural pricing; complete the market analysis and make a competitive offer for customers; explore new customers in Asian market
Select qualified suppliers for grains, seeds, oil, honey, etc. to guarantee the quality and delivery time of the purchased products; negotiate the price, terms and conditions, terms of payments with suppliers to enlarge the margin of profit
Arrange the logistics solutions for shipping, air freight and land trucking with carriers; contact the brokers for Customs clearance
Issue all documents and Bill of Lading according to letter of credit; hand over the bills towards banks and leverage money through trade finance products
Develop the e-commerce project of Kerry Grain by communicating with suppliers and partners
Create and execute go-to-market promotion plan and market development strategy for e-commerce project
Get involved in the acquisition projects; hunt for the new projects and finish the presentation and relevant analysis to share holders
Establish a team and commit a training to new members
Travel through Canada or Asia for trade shows and business journey
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on international trade, logistics or supply chain management; Master’s Degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years’ experience in international trade and international logistics fields
Good financial and acquisition knowledge, 2 year’s corporate banking or investment banking experience will be an advantage
Good sense of exploring new business; strong decision making skills
Dynamic and self-starter; strong communication ability
Good command of English, excellent presentation skills; Second language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, etc.) is a plus
Good leadership and supervisory experience; proven excellent negotiation and management skills
Cross cultural background, working experience in Asia and North America is an advantage
Ability to travel in B.C., Canada and internationally
Salary: $55,000 annually plus benefits (It depends on your experience)
