We are hiring an Environmental Manager to expand our team and we’d love you to join us!

Have a wide variety of skills you can apply in a dynamic small business environment
Can communicate with charisma and enthusiasm about sustainability at a grass-roots level
Are computer and social media literate (Word, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, Twitter, Facebook)
Have a positive, proactive approach that can be flexible at live events
Have a demonstrated ability to be well organized and meet deadlines using good judgment & discretion
Can work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings and weekends in the summer during events season

Who are we? We are Green Chair Recycling, a for-profit social enterprise who is proud to be making big, positive changes in our community. We do this by producing zero waste events and doing community outreach education throughout the Lower Mainland. You can learn more about us here: http://www.greenchairrecycling.com.

One central principle that makes a social enterprise successful is that the business runs well with the help of many volunteers…in our case, over 2000! The successful candidate for this position will require to volunteer alongside our team at a couple of events to understand and experience our work in the community. This will ensure that both you and we have found the right fit for the role, the team and our culture.

Rate per hour negotiable with review in 6 months from date of hire and wage subsidy candidates are welcome. This position is available to start immediately.
