Island Recruiting is currently searching for an Ecommerce Sales & Marketing Manager to join our client located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Our client is an online distributor of various retail merchandise. The Ecommerce Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and directing the marketing and advertising initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote product sales;
• Direct and evaluate marketing strategies;
• Establish distribution networks for products;
• Initiate and conduct market research and analyze results to understand market;
• Organize, direct, and evaluate the development and maintenance of internet sites to manage the company’s internet presence including public relations, communications, and commercial activities;
• Co-ordinate all digital marketing activities to drive visitors to the site, as well as increase engagement and conversion on the site;
• Manage social media accounts;
• Research and develop content for blog and how-to guides;
• Write and edit product descriptions to ensure accurate and professional;
• Co-ordinate with graphic designer;
• Co-ordinate creation and distribution of company newsletters;
• Select and co-ordinate photos for products; and
• Train new employees on company processes, operations, and responsibilities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Marketing, E-Commerce, Business Administration, Sales Management, etc.) or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an online marketing, sales, or e-commerce position;
• 3 years of experience in a leader/supervisor/management managing an e-commerce business is considered an asset;
• Deep understanding of e-commerce marketing tactics and traffic acquisition;
• Creative thinker able to develop innovative marketing campaigns;
• Motivated to succeed and understand all operational aspects of the business and become a key member of the management team;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• Excellent leader with natural decision making, problem solving, managerial abilities.
