Just Be Friends Inc. (JBF) works closely with top tier sports franchises to help them engage a youth audience. Our products include customized Club App experiences which is a creative platform to inform and grow the their next generation sports/brand fans. Our major engagement platform, Meucci, is a messaging and content platform utilized by our Official partners in sports, music and entertainment among others. This family platform is for youth to connect and make friends around a shared love of their favorite sports teams, hobbies, books, games, toys, and shows.
Using both web and mobile technology, Just Be Friends Inc. builds universes where fans connect with their favourite sports teams through our interactive platform designed for the entire family. It is through this digital landscape that JBF is growing rapidly across all verticals. This position will be the front line position with some of the largest brands in the world.
This Role
As part of the JBF team, the Director of Marketing will be the driver, creator and implementation of an exhaustive, integrated marketing plan across all verticals within our Meucci Content and Messenger platform. Collaborating with some of the largest sports, music and entertainment brands in the world, this Director of Marketing will have the ability to iterate quickly, devise strategies that will work for each community but also align with our partners marketing plans. These co-partnering exercises will require a very strategic, creative, short and long term executor who has an equal passion for the idea as they do seeing the results of their creative idea come to life. JBF is seeking only those who can wear multiple hats and have the drive, ambition and aggressive work ethic to success in a highly competitive marketplace of Digital Media and Technology.
The ambassador of excellence, initiative, execution and enthusiasm. These skills are a must for this role. As this role evolves team members will be added in this space but in the short term this lucky individual will not only design, plan and coordinate they will also implement across the multiple verticals. This will be a very fast and steep learning curve and if you are looking for a new challenge with a background in marketing to families and children then this role is for you. We will give preference to those that have a background marketing in the digital landscape but will be seeking the adaptable of skills sets and strong will to learn will be favoured.
This candidate will be responsible for overseeing marketing initiatives within the JBF organization. The job will require this individual to develop areas such as sales management, product development, distribution channel management, marketing communications, including advertising and promotions, pricing, market research, and customer service.
Ideal candidates should be tenacious self starters and have a unique balance of confidence and coachability. Marketing to kids or for kids products or platforms is preferred, but not a requirement. Tell us your favourite sports team, along with your experience managing marketing initiatives, because you are going to love what we are working on.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Prepare and implements marketing strategy
Work with the team in creating and implementing engagement strategies
Identifies new market opportunities and builds a robust execution plan
Developing marketing plans for JBF, and assisting sports franchises and other brands who utilize the JBF engagement tools with their marketing initiatives
Implement and manage marketing budget
Leverage data and analytics to drive insights
Collaborating closely with the business development and partnerships teams
Determining the best way of using existing or creating new marketing channels to grow our audience
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited University
3-5 years of full-time experience
Evidence of independence and self-starter attitude
