You’re an intellectually curious marketing professional who embodies and understands us (our brand) and the digital space we’re in. Not only are you creative and relational but you’re also an analytical person who is comfortable working with data and leveraging insights to drive strategic decisions. You’re also funny (“writing funny”) and you’ve already accomplished a lot in your relatively short marketing career. You like contrary and counterintuitive ideas and you’re able to draw your own independent conclusions.
You’re passionate about social media, you grasp the overall digital marketing landscape and you can understand how this fits into our larger vision. Your writing is concise and amusing. You write things that people want to read.
The Role
Working closely with the Director of Digital Strategy and executive team, you, our Digital Marketing Specialist, will be accountable for supporting the team in the accurate and timely execution of digital initiatives that ultimately support our marketing strategies. Within this position you will curate content, provide reporting, and produce assets for our website, online marketplace, digital marketing campaigns, and social media channels. In additional to the executional aspects of this role, you will also contribute to many strategic initiatives including but not limited to social media and marketing plans, re-branding, communications policies, and website planning.

About Us
We deliver super fresh organic food to homes throughout the GTA. We’re also one of the fastest growing companies in Canada. We’ve accomplished this because we’re genuinely passionate about what we do.
We’re building a true, honest, locally-based food system. We’ve built strong relationships with more than 30 organic farms around Toronto. We’re now building a platform for them (our farmers) and also for our members to access those farms.
Experience & Skills
Qualified candidates will posses a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, English or adequate experience in a related field and a minimum of 3 years professional writing experience in the area of web copywriting. Excellent proofreading and copy-editing skills are required. Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
This job requires a wide range of skills and abilities including:
• Collaborating with designers and other associates to conceptualize and write copy for online properties
• Contributing to the development of marketing and communications policies and brand standards
• Entering and maintaining copy within WordPress and other content management systems
• Crafting, executing and optimizing campaigns for Adwords, Facebook, Twitter and beyond
• Using Adobe Creative Suite to combine graphics, copy, and photos
• Using tools such as Hootsuite and Sprout Social to successfully monitor and leverage social media channels
• Successfully increasing engagement and audience across all social channels
• Collaborating with farms, producers, bloggers, customers, and partners to curate seasonal content and features
• Using Google Analytics and similar tools to provide detailed metrics on marketing campaigns and website user activity
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously using basic project management methodologies
• Collaborating with the member care team to develop messaging and communications tools
• Working independently as well as within a face-paced team environment
• Analyzing customer data and online user behaviour to uncover new digital marketing opportunities
• Modifying email newsletters and web pages with a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Optimizing content and meta tags for search engines
