The Digital Marketing Manager’s role is to manage our overall digital marketing programs to support expansion and growth of the organization’s services and products. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of GreenLearning products and goals. Ideally, you have a passion for using web advertising, social media, web development and analytics to engage youth in sustainability and to make the world a better place. You will work closely with our Communications Manager to co-ordinate all marketing and to support the Communications Manager in creating and delivering on our overall Communications plan.

Responsibilities:
Manage the planning, development and execution of national digital marketing and campaigns, including online advertising, website strategy and design, social media, mobile, and deliverables to grow our social media presence and engagement.
Develop and implement a strategy to leverage GreenLearning’s various channels to grow GreenLearning’s audience, including YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
Leverage GreenLearning’s Google for NonProfits Adwords campaigns to grow our audience of educators across Canada.
Collect, track and analyze data to draw key recommendations around website and marketing optimization and ensure a high level of SEO.
Ensure planning, testing, tracking, and integration of ideas with other GreenLearning assets such as the website and LMS to achieve strategic goals.
Utilize our data collection system from both paid and organic campaigns, to analyze and interpret market statistics alongside the organization’s metrics using tools such asGoogle Analytics, HubSpot and Hootsuite to further improve our digital marketing.
Strong knowledge of graphic design and video editing in order to create and edit promotional content for social channels e.g. IG, TikTok and YouTube
Maintain a digital dashboard of several different social media accounts, and ensure effective development of both our educator and youth audiences online in a manner that encourages adoption of GreenLearning programs and activities.
Monitor the GL chatbox and respond to inquiries from teachers and students about our environmental education programs.
Work with the Communications Manager to ensure that the brand voice and message are consistent.
Manage any digital agency relationships, day-to-day production, as well as campaign budgets and schedules.
Work with the Communications Manager to create an annual Communications Plan.
Requirements and Characteristics:
2+ Years of Experience in Digital Marketing
Excellent written and oral communications and attention to detail
Experience executing paid social media campaigns and using google ads
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, business or communications
Full understanding of best practices in leveraging all social media platforms
Knowledge of content management systems
Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, analytics and best development practices
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets
An entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitude
Strong management skills
Problem diagnosis, critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
Strong, proven ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Comfort with working in a mainly virtual organization
A demonstrated passion for working in the non-profit sector
Location: Preferred location – Calgary, Edmonton or Toronto. The position will work remotely. Other regions in Canada will be considered.
