Job Description :
The Town of Taber is an Agricultural based community nestled in the heart of Southern Alberta. Although, best known for our world famous Corn, our growing Town has many other attributes.
Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager
This new, exciting position offers a unique and diverse scope of responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and Monitoring of Public Relations message, using Traditional and Social Media
Research and Coordination of Grant Application Processes
Serve as a Community Liaison with Special Interest Groups
Assist in the Development and Maintenance of a Records Management System
Spearhead Special Projects, as directed
Preparation of Policies, Procedures and Agreements
Other Duties, as required
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in related field, such as: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or New Media
Outgoing Personality with a Desire to be out in the Community
Exceptional Communication skills; both written and verbal
Computer Savvy with Strong Knowledge of Social Media Platforms
Motivated, Resourceful and Quick Learning
Flexible with an ‘Outside the Box’ Thinking Style
