Employment Opportunity: Communications Project Officer
Term: July 2015 – August 2016 (approximately 13 months)

If so, we’d love to hear from you. Enterprise Saint John is looking for a positive, energetic and results-driven individual to fill the role of Communications Project Officer for 13 months, starting this July. As Communications Project Officer, your core responsibilities will include:

Ensuring designated True Growth Communications Projects succeed, including but not limited to: the True Growth Communications Internship (July-December 2015); the True Growth Engagement Awards (October 2015); Walrus Talks (October 2015); Economic Summit (spring 2016);
Providing communications support to the Enterprise Saint John Board, CEO and staff to ensure strong stakeholder engagement (preparation of materials, presentations, the 2015 Annual Report etc.);
Assisting with activities relating to the Enterprise Saint John brand and the True Growth model;
Helping coordinate and implement meaningful Network Partner meetings on a quarterly basis;
Supporting the existing Communications Officer, especially with the implementation of evolving strategic projects and tasks relating to the True Growth Integrated Community Communications Plan;
Serving as an advocate for the Saint John region both in and out of the office;
Other responsibilities as assigned.

As the ideal candidate, you:

Have 5-7 years’ experience in project management and communications;
Hold a University degree in communications or relevant field;
Are comfortable and effective building relationships across a variety of industries, age groups and levels of seniority;
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well with ambiguity;
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and ethics.

Bilingualism is an asset. You will work closely alongside the existing Communications Officer, reporting jointly to the CEO. Compensation shall be commensurate with experience.
