Communications / Marketing Officer – QEII Foundation – Halifax City, Nova Scotia

The QEII Foundation inspires generosity to advance health care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, the largest teaching health centre in the region providing care to Nova Scotia residents and specialized services to Atlantic Canadians.

With a culture of celebrating success, the QEII Foundation team has a passion for health care and for making a difference through philanthropy. We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished communications professional to join the team as a Communications & Marketing Officer.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications & Marketing Officer develops and implements strategic communications and marketing programs designed to elevate the awareness of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, the QEII Foundation, and philanthropy. Focusing on proactive communications, this position works with various Foundation portfolios to provide counsel in areas such as communications planning and objective setting, strategic direction, relationship management and engagement, and public profile. This position also plays an important role in elevating brand standards and providing support with writing (print and integrated online content for web and social media), editing, graphic design, video work, and media relations, to name a few.

The Communications & Marketing Officer position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual who has high expectations and strives for excellence. He/she must have strong attention to detail, a creative flair, and work well both independently and in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities.

As the successful candidate, you will have post secondary education in public relations / communications and / or marketing, combined with a minimum of three to five years experience as a communications leader. You have acted in an advisory position and have demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
