OHCC is an incorporated, registered charity whose mission is to create innovative solutions to meet community challenges and build strong, equitable and sustainable communities through education, engagement and collaboration. We provide consultations, learning activities, network support, knowledge exchange and project management services to community groups, organizations and collaboratives working on Healthy Communities initiatives in Ontario. Summary of Key Duties

1. Engage target audiences by leveraging social media to increase OHCC’s online presence
2. Plan, research, compose and publish OHCC’s newsletter, community stories, website content, and blogs in French and English;
3. Provide research and technical support for OHCC programs and services;
4. Provide membership management and communications to networks administered by OHCC;
5. Undertake evaluation tasks including collecting and entering data, preparing reports and conducting follow-up interviews;
6. Recruit and supervise a small group of volunteers.

Skills and Knowledge Required

1. Evidence of competence in oral and written French and English
2. Post-secondary education in a related field
3. Related work experience
4. High level of computer literacy
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
8. Ability to organize work and set priorities

OHCC has an opening for a Communications Lead to provide communications, evaluation and volunteer coordination services to enhance OHCC programs and services. This position represents an excellent opportunity to learn on the job.
