Representing more than 1,600 real estate brokers and salespeople across the province, NSAR’s mission is to enhance REALTORS®’s success by providing services and representation to enable them to best serve the public in real estate transactions. The Association also acts as the voice for real estate in Nova Scotia.
In this position, you will ensure effective coordination of the internal and external communications initiatives and activities for NSAR. Responsibilities include implementation of communications plan, monitoring issues, managing media relations and communicating with members.
Building on a degree or certificate in public relations or related discipline (or comparable experience, skills and training), you have been working in communications for 3-5 years. Experience in association communications is an asset.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate communications with members
Assist with maintenance and update of member and public websites
Lead the marketing communications efforts for NSAR events
Manage NSAR’s media relations program
Attend committee meetings as required
Our Communications Coordinator will have excellent writing and editing skills, project planning and implementation skills, strategic thinking abilities, flexibility and creativity. A working knowledge of MS Office and other presentation software is an asset.
