Business Facilitator – City of Corner Brook

The City of Corner Brook is presently accepting applications for the permanent full-time position of Business Facilitator with the Department of Community, Planning and Development.

The Business Facilitator will report to the Director of Community, Planning and Development and will be responsible for planning, managing, streamlining and providing oversight of the City of Corner Brook’s Economic Development programs and initiatives for business retention, promotion, marketing, and expansion. Responsibilities shall include the coordination of economic development related initiatives with other City departments and liaising with relevant departments and agencies of the Provincial and Federal Governments, outside agencies and groups, and maintaining regular contact with the public on matters relating to economic development. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in economic development, planning, business administration, marketing, or a related field with a minimum of four years responsible experience in economic development, marketing or a closely related field, focusing on the attraction and retention of businesses, preferably in a municipal environment.

Salary: $56,014.99-$74,685.88
