Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP is a regional accounting firm with offices in Campbellton, Bathurst and Miramichi, New Brunswick offering a full range of accounting, tax and financial advisory services to Northern New Brunswick.  We are looking for a Tax Specialist to service our Campbellton office.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with Partners and other senior staff to develop and implement tax planning engagements.
Performing technical research, developing and documenting tax issue recommendations.
Providing a broad knowledge base with which to support other staff regarding corporate and personal income tax, Harmonized Sales Tax, payroll taxes and other various issues.
Reviewing corporate, personal and trust tax returns and other tax compliance work as requested.
Providing accounting staff with year end file support including instructions pertaining to required tax filings and tax related accounting.
Identifying client service opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
CA, CPA or CGA, CPA designation.
Completed CPA In-Depth Tax program or Masters of Tax degree.
Minimum of five years in a tax specialist role serving small to medium sized privately held enterprises.
Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Superior management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.  Bilingualism is an asset.
