Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada’s last-major brewer still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been operated by the Oland family since it was established in 1867.

The Company is currently recruiting a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in the Saint John location. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assistance with monthly financial reporting and supporting schedules
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Support pricing and profitability analysis & tracking
Fixed asset processing and reporting
Support month-end and year-end close process
Financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Professional Accounting Designation (CPA,CMA,CGA,CA)
Strong understanding of accounting theory
Four years or more of accounting/finance experience
Proven organizational skills with detail-oriented focus
Ability to meet assigned deadlines and multitask
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
Strong knowledge of internal controls
Experience with external audit and tax would be an asset
