Revenue Manager

The essential qualifications are a professional accounting designation with a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience, preferably in a municipal and property tax setting, as well as supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision, collection and administration of City revenue generated through property taxes, user fees and other sources. The candidate will oversee the internal control of the receipt and processing of all funds received by the City as well as administering and executing the annual tax sale, permissive tax exemptions and the grant in aid process. This position will also prepare components of budgets and forecasts, managing new projects, assisting with year-end financial reports and statements and making recommendations for amendments to bylaws and policies to write and present bylaws and related reports.
The Revenue Manager will perform with a high degree of independent action and judgment within established policies and procedures as well as building positive relationships with key stakeholders. We require a candidate with effective problem-solving and decision making skills and proven ability to manage a wide range of challenging customer service situations. The ideal applicant will have sound leadership skills to manage, train, motivate and direct a team of unionized support staff engaged in the performance of all revenue services and a drive to continually look at process efficiencies and improve customer experiences.
