Our office is seeking a professional accountant that has completed a post-secondary Business Administration degree or comparable program with a concentration in Accounting or possesses equivalent experience. An accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA) is desirable but not required. The successful candidate will have:
Strong accounting and problem solving skills.
Experience in preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
A knowledge of Caseware software would be considered an asset
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Sage and Quickbooks.
Above average interpersonal skills and strong organizational traits and be a critical thinker.
The ability to work independently and as a team and uses personal judgement in decision making.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with high level of accuracy.
The understanding of the importance of quality client service.
As a member of our team you will play a key role in providing accounting, assurance, income tax and business advisory services to a wide variety of clients. Primary responsibilities include:
Preparing working paper files and financial statements.
Preparing personal and corporate income tax returns.
Preparing other tax compliance returns such as T4, T5 and HST returns.
Meeting with clients as required and provide support to clients on general questions regarding accounting and bookkeeping issues.
