We have an immediate opening for the position of Manager, Financial Services.  The successful candidate will have a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, a minimum of five years of increasing responsibilities within local government and experience in the direct supervision of staff.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

You are detail oriented, innovative and an excellent communicator.  You have the initiative and drive to continuously improve your skills, those of your staff and the organization’s systems and processes.  You have excellent knowledge of financial reporting for the public sector and experience with Vadim, Tempest and CaseWare software systems.

Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, the Manager of Financial Services supervises a staff of four dedicated individuals and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, payroll, cash receipts, banking and investments, and financial reporting.
