Manager, Community Fundraising – Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick – Saint John

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick is currently looking for:

Manager, Community Fundraising

Reports to: Director, Community Fundraising

Door to Door Campaign

Responsible for all aspects of the annual door-to-door campaign, held each February, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders, especially our volunteers.
Recruits and manages campaign recruiters, including scheduling, training and performance management.
Works with staff to ensure data lists/databases are relevant and up-to-date.
Creates and implements a strategy for volunteer communication throughout the February campaign and the year, (newsletters, personal phone calls, face to face visits, emails).
Responsible for budget management and works tirelessly to seek new revenue opportunities.

Big Bike – Saint John

Lead on Big Bike for Saint John area, ensuring revenue and team recruitment goals are met.
Encourages and inspires team fundraising.
Ensures success of the event and positive experience for participants, volunteers and sponsors.
Leads the organization of rides in this area and ensures participant fulfillment.

Jump Rope for Heart- Saint John

Lead on JRFH for Saint John area, ensuring revenue and school recruitment goals are met.
Ensures success of the event and positive experience for schools, participants, parents and sponsors.
Coordinates and participates in school kick-offs and follow-up/thank you activities.

General/Other

Working evenings and weekends is required, especially during peak times during the annual door-to-door campaign.
Participates in donor recognition efforts in this area.
Supports the efforts of donors and volunteers with 3rd Party events.
Supports other members of the Revenue Development team with other events, duties and programs as needed.
Other duties as required to support the team’s goals and mission of the Foundation.

Qualifications

Undergraduate Degree.
3+ years of experience in fundraising, communications and/or marketing.
Bilingualism a strong asset.
Passion for the cause and experience working in a not-for-profit environment but willing to train the right candidate.
Preferred experience working with data mining/collection/analysis.  A critical thinker and problem solver with a strong ability to manage various tasks simultaneously.
Strong relationship management skills.
Curious, proactive and a team player with credibility and integrity.

Compensation
Commensurate with experience.
