We are currently looking for a Human Resource/Payroll Coordinator to join our growing team in St. Alban’s, NL. This position would report directly to the Controller & HR Manager however the ideal candidate will work closely with other company functions, such as operations and finance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process hourly and salary payroll using ADP Payroll system.
Administrative duties such as maintain employee files, compensation, benefits, garnishment reporting, performance reviews, etc.
Assist in development and implementation of human resources programs and policies and communication of these policies.
Serve as a resource for all team members by being available and accessible to discuss all human resources related issues.
Provide support to Safety Officer on WHSCC claims.
Assist with union contract negotiations & administration of collective bargaining agreements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Successful completion of Human Resource related courses/certificates.
Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association certification preferred.
Experience working in a unionized environment will be an asset.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HR/Payroll related role.
Strong computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office.
Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel to our various locations in the Coast of Bays areas as well as monthly travel to our operation on the West Coast.
