The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) is a group of physicians, allied health care practitioners, and citizens committed to a sustainable environment. CAPE addresses issues of environmental degradation by educating health care professionals and the public and advocating for stronger environmental policy. CAPE has a 32-hour per week position for an exceptional fundraiser interested in making the world a better place — and being part of a small team in a respected organization. You are a fundraising professional, a self-starter, fast learner, and fun to work with. You want to work for CAPE because you are excited by its vision and want to do what it takes to enhance the organization’s financial success.

Responsibilities

You will manage all aspects of CAPE’s revenue-generation programs including:

Direct mail and e-mail
Web-based fundraising
Foundation grant writing
Major gifts acquisition
Bequests
Donor recognition

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience managing fundraising operations for a small-medium sized organization
Major-gift fundraising experience is a strong asset
Excellent direct-mail writing ability is a strong asset
Strong interest in building on-line giving capacity
Computer literacy and familiarity with fundraising databases
Excellent interpersonal skills

This is a permanent, 32-hour per week position. The successful applicant will work from home but be available for meetings in downtown Toronto. Salary is $40K annually.
