Our client has an immediate need on their management team. A local group of companies is searching for an experienced financial controller to join their organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience. A professional accounting designation would be a definite asset.

Reporting directly to the company President, the controller will be responsible to oversee the accounting staff; prepare monthly financial statements; and provide strategic analysis of the results of each company in the corporate group. The controller will be responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting cycle to ensure that financial reporting is timely and accurate. The controller will also be responsible to ensure that financial and internal control processes within the organization are maintained at a high level.

The controller will require excellent communication skills; a high degree of organization, both in terms of personal activities as well as directing the financial team; above average knowledge of computerized accounting and financial analysis software.
