Keller Canada Services, Ltd., a Keller Company, is seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join our Keller Canada team in Acheson, AB.

Reports to (Title): Senior Accountant
Position Scope:
The Financial Accountant’s primary responsibilities are to prepare, analyze and report project financial information as well as assist the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager with month end closing activities.
Responsibilities:
Perform assigned monthly accounting period closing activities in accordance with Keller and IFRS standards.
Prepare, analyze and report project financial information relating to revenue and costs including open PO analysis, cost accruals, revenue recognition and variance analysis.
Provide complete, accurate, timely and effective analysis and reporting.
Assist in job set up, control and maintenance activities
Reconcile completed jobs, ensuring accuracy of costs and revenues.
Assist with the preparation of aspects of the consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements.
Maintain accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
Work with Corporate and Divisional Finance to reconcile and analyze the company’s consolidated balance sheet.
Manage assigned accounting for corporate activities, including establishing proper accounting, building and maintaining working papers and the timely and accurate reconciliation and analysis of activity.
Prepare assigned audit working papers and documentation in a timely, accurate and complete manner for year-end audits.
Manage general ledger journal entries in accordance with Keller Canada policies and procedures.
Prepare and/or assist in ad hoc and routine analysis and reporting of transactions for Finance department management.
Contribute to additional monthly management reporting as needed.
Maintain and periodically test internal controls
Coordinate efforts with accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll to resolve project related issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) related to Financial Accounting.
Actively enrolled in a Canadian professional accounting program (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA).
Some work experience, preferably in the industrial construction industry.

Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
