We are currently seeking an energetic, bright, and goal-oriented individual to join our Montreal team. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Finance and Business Development Assistant will identify and generate interest and strategic partnerships with relevant USA and Indian companies by networking, delivering presentations, and discussing business opportunities correspondingly.
Responsibilities:
Gathering and analyzing financial information relating to specific companies and industries
Keeping up to date with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets
Discovering and exploring potential lucrative strategic alliances and partnerships by performing market research and financial modeling
Targeting potential U.S. and Indian clients/partners via email, phone, and social networks to establish rapport, develop proposals, and negotiate deals
Developing strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials, as well as estimating partners’ needs and goals
Updating job knowledge by reading professional publications, as well as maintaining company’s networks
Creating and delivering effective presentations, proposals and investment illustrations as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related Business field; CFA Level I would be an asset
1 year of experience in finance or international business development
Strong business acumen including awareness of global markets, and new business opportunities
Competence in strategic planning, as well as identification and development of new ideas, processes and approaches
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Excellent oral and written communication in English, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills
Advanced skills of using Professional Social Networks and MS Office products
High degree of personal responsibility and accountability
